About Us

Hunsley Christian Youth Trust (HCYT) is a charity associated with Scripture Union committed to working in schools to provide support to Christian Unions, help students making the transition from Primary to Secondary, provide lunchtime activities and a range of other schools work. We also work with local churches to bring young people together and to support churches in their work with young people through training and resourcing where required.  We organise SPARK, a monthly youth worship event for young Christians and their friends across the Hunsley Area.

Our sponsoring churches currently include All Saints, North Ferriby, St Barnabas, Swanland, the parish of Elloughton and Brough with Brantingham and All Saints, South Cave, but we are keen to work in partnership with churches of all denominations across the Hunsley area.

Already God is clearly using HCYT to change for the better the lives of young people in the Hunsley area:  either deepening their faith through involvement at their school CU or by being involved at SPARK events.  Or for those who do not yet have a personal relationship with God, by finding out more about Him, taking a step or two closer to committing themselves to follow Him.

The Hunsley Christian Youth Trust aims to be:

A positive and consistent Christian influence in schools

Be involved in and supportive of the school community in appropriate ways

To take part in lessons, assemblies and Christian group meetings

To help Christian groups, growing leaders, establishing aims and resourcing

To develop ways of linking schools and churches

Hunsley Christian Youth Trust subscribes to the Scripture Union Statement of Faith
