Meet the team!
Schools Worker – Beth Cooper
We are delighted that Beth has agreed to take on the new part-time role of Schools Worker for the period September 2017 – June 2018.
Beth is no stranger to our work; having been an integral part of the SPARK Youth Band for a few years, she then joined the HCYT team in September 2015 for 2 years as a Gap Year Worker, working along side our other staff during that period at South Hunsley as well as spending some of her time at All Saints’ Church, Brough, developing their youth ministry.
In her spare time, Beth has an eclectic mixture of hobbies and interests! These include; playing the trombone in the Frank Cleveland Big Band, playing the guitar in her room, sewing, writing poetry and taking photographs whenever she gets the chance.

Hunsley Christian Youth Trust (HCYT) was established in 2009 and is a charity committed to working in schools to provide support to Christian Unions, help students making the transition from Primary to Secondary, provide lunchtime activities and a range of other schools work. We also work with local churches to bring young people together and to support churches in their work with young people through training and resourcing where required. We are pleased to be associated with Scripture Union.
Our sponsoring churches currently include All Saints North Ferriby, St Barnabas Swanland, the parish of Elloughton and Brough with Brantingham, and All Saints South Cave. We are keen to work in partnership with churches of all denominations across the Hunsley area.
God is clearly using HCYT to change the lives of the young people in the Hunsley area for the better. Faith has been deepened through involvement of the Christian Union or equivalent school groups, and space for asking questions has been given to enable young people to find out more about Him and, even, take their first steps towards having a relationship with Him.
The Hunsley Christian Youth Trust aims to:
Be a positive and consistent Christian influence in schools
Be involved in and supportive of the school community in appropriate ways
Take part in lessons, assemblies, and Christian group meetings
Help Christian groups in growing leaders, establishing aims and resourcing
Develop ways of linking schools and churches
Hunsley Christian Youth Trust subscribes to the Scripture Union Statement of Faith
